Hello, I'm Yuki Leong

I am a LLM Research Engineer/Machine Learning Engineer/AI Product Manager with over a decade of experience in artificial intelligence and data science. I have successfully led more than 30 projects as a Project Manager, Solutions Architect, and Product Manager for global tech firms and Fortune 500 companies. I hold a master’s degree in Applied Data Science from the University of Chicago and was previously the co-founder of a startup, where I oversaw both product strategy and technical direction.

My work bridges academia and industry, with roles including Senior Staff at an AI company and AI Researcher at UChicago Booth & DSI. My expertise spans technical design for products and solutions, translating academic research into industry-ready applications, and leading end-to-end implementation of AI projects. I have a deep passion for AI research, with a keen interest in LLMs, large multimodal models, and AI agents. I firmly believe that AI will profoundly transform our world, fueled by passion and creativity.

Personal Interests

Reading & Film: I enjoy mind-bending suspense films by directors such as Christopher Nolan and David Fincher, philosophical Japanese anime, and novels in the romance, suspense, and science-fiction genres.

Music: I love music of all kinds—from pop artists like Coldplay and cinematic scores by Hans Zimmer to lyrical, ambient, or electronic styles from lesser-known artists. I’m an amateur player of piano and guitar.
